Gildi was for a while in charge of collecting trade union premiums for the labor unions Efling, Hlíf, and the Association of Hairdressers, which has now joined the Union of Industrial and Technical branches (FIT).

All these unions have now taken over the collection themselves, and employers are advised to contact them directly regarding union fee payments.
