Accumulation of Rights

The rights of fund member to a pension are calculated in Icelandic króna. The rights are subject to the premium deposited in the fund each time.

Thus, younger fund members receive more rights than older fund members for the same premium, because the premium is more valuable the longer it accrues in the fund. The age relation of the rights ensures equality of fund members in the acquisition of rights throughout their working lives.
