New organisational structure at Gildi

A new organisational structure was presented within the fund last week and has already taken effect. The aim of the new structure is to support Gildi's existing priorities and future plans, and to contribute to improved service for fund members.

Among the main changes is that the Pension Department and the Private Pension Savings Department have been merged into a new division, the Pension Division, headed by Ágústa Hrönn Gísladóttir. A new Operations Division has also been created, headed by Bjarney Sigurðardóttir, which oversees the fund's general operations and various support services, such as communications and marketing and quality and process management, and which also covers the fund's Contributions Department and Loans Department.

In total there are seven divisions in the new structure, namely Asset Management, the Pension Division, the Operations Division, the Finance Division, Information Technology, the Legal Division and Risk Management, with their heads reporting directly to the CEO.

The changes are intended to simplify the organisational structure and adapt it to the fund's growing operations.
